  • Isaac's graduation

This past Saturday night, June 2, our church held a graduation for our seven homeschool graduates. It was a very special ceremony and we are looking back on it with fond memories.

Isaac giving the Valedictorian speech on behalf of his fellow graduates. He did a fine job and my mother's heart was bursting with pride. ( I hope that doesn't embarrass you too much, Isaac! ) Thank you for the beautiful roses that you presented to me. I was very surprised!

All of the graduates had collages made by their families to give an overview of some of their years leading up to graduation. Here, Isaac is standing next to his collage.

alrighty... you gave her a recipe for beans? cool

  • All the photos I've seen (mostly over on Facebook, from Claire, Tabitha & Jasmine) look like you did indeed have a *great* ceremony (and I'm not usually a big fan of such things)!

Yes, I know I need to post. I've been busy in my so-called "free time" sorting, tweeking, and otherwise trying to do justice to the 500+ photos that I took on my annual Memorial Day campout, where 29 of us got together at Lake Chelan State Park for 4 Nights. It's rather a daunting task, to say the least!

  • no, i'm never letting him go

  • A good quality Digital SLR can be very...

    ..."Liberating"?

  • My pleasure. And besides it was alot of fun. Can you believe we didn't get a picture of Vic and I with Claire that night?

  • Congratulations to Isaac and Isaac's parents!!!

  • Graduations are so amazing. Congratulations to Isaac and to you and your husband!! You look positively radiant!

    how is life for you?

  • Congratulations.  Graduations are such wonderful events.  A bittersweet time to realize how fast they have grown up, but pride and excitement to recognize what they have become.

  • I was trying to think of ANY other time in our marriage that I surprised you and I can't come up with one. You are pretty astute and on the ball, all of the time. Yes, it was a wonderful evening. Glad you are enjoying your flowers. Hope you get used to your new cell phone in a hurry also.

  • Good post Mom!

I like that you posted pictures mostly of ISAAC. He WAS one of the Grads. :) . I hope your not embarrassed Isaac. I'm just so proud of ISAAC and MOM!

  • you are an encouragement!

  • Sounds like a marvelous graduation celebration!  Congrats to parents and grad!  You must be so pleased.

Thanks for "dropping by" to say hi.  I know I haven't been on xanga much lately.  I have been really depressed, and I have too much on my mind.  I wish I had more answers and less questions.  (don't we all?  )  Please pray for me, that the Lord would grant me His wisdom, peace, and contentment while I seek out His will for my life.  It was good to hear from you!  You are such an encouragement, and your optimism lifts my spirits!

  • Yes... but I don't know what to do with myself!  I don't know what's next and I'm having such a hard time making decisions!

I think I like the Horatio Hornblower books, but I won't be sure until I finish them.  I am on book eight or nine of eleven.  I'll let you know what I think when I finish the series.  I really really liked them... until I reached the part in the current book I am reading, where he has an affair with another woman even though he is married.  Ick.  I am waiting to see if he suffers the consequences for it or not.  :-/  I'm not sure if I would like the movies.  Did you find them somewhat violent or were the battle scenes tastefully done?
