Snowed in again...
So, I'm really not much of a winter person. In fact, I'm not a winter person at all. The only thing I like about winter is the Christmas Season and I LOVE that! But once Christmas is over I tell my family, "Spring is coming. Yay!!!" Unfortunately, we had a cold Fall with two windstorms and one northeaster which dumped 20 inches of snow on us in blizzard conditions causing lots of snow drifts. Since Winter has begun, we had another windstorm, and now, last Wednesday, we had another northeaster which dumped 15 more inches on us. Laura is trying to be happy
. But Laura is NOT happy
. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment or unenjoyment, whichever the case may be.Our flowering cherry tree, birdbath, bird feeder, etc. getting swallowed up in snow.
One of my favorite flower beds. I could just cry...
Will my brave rhodie and Japanese Lacyleaf Maple survive? They look brave don't you think?
Natasha's ever faithful Mercedes and our ever faithful van.
Brrr....
And, of course, no post is complete without sharing a photo of Pumpky! Here he is oblivious to the snowstorm outdoors and has instead found himself a most comfortable (?) bed on the piano keyboard.
Love you all! Laura

But don't you think the snow is so pretty? White is such a happy color. It's not like dreary, gray, wet weeks.
wow, brrrrrrr
Thanks.
why thank you ma'am! Do you plan to attend the next conference? I really can't wait!
Lord willing of course, Russell and I will be there... hopefully draging a few more participants!
Grace and peace to you and your family this seemingly and horribly dreadful weather!

I love Pumpkin. He is such a sweetheart.
Would you mind if I got a book shipped to your address?
I'm with Tasha on this. I love winter when it's snowy. It's so calm when it's falling and so beautiful when the sun is shining. But then I never drive in it - ever. So I can have my preferences comfortably. Rainy winters are another matter. But best all round is spring . Rain or shine it's pretty in the spring and not too hot ot too cold either.
Thanks for responding!

It was our 26th anniversary. Don't you have an anniversary this month? Glad you're on the mend. Hopefully your family is all finished with this flu bug now. See you Sunday I hope.

Aye, there is always work to be done! The Walk for Life went well. I updated about it, if you are interested
. Do they have a Walk for Life in Olympia? That's awesome...
Missed you at church yesterday.Whenever you're up to it we could go for lunch at the White Spot on 264th just south of Fraser Highway. Pretty easy for both of us to find and about the halfway point, too.
Thats for sure.
Oh Wow, that is a lot of snow!!! Try to enjoy it, we haven't gotten any yet, and I long for it! It looks beautiful though.
glad to hear that you are feeling better....and that its warming up! warm to you is probably freezing to me though lol
indeed i am. school starts next week so im preparing for that
Thanks for your comments on Aunt Mom. The poem "On the Road to Maturity" also reminds me of something that I heard years ago. I was told that in the middle of winter, when a tree appears to be dead, that is when it actually does its most growing for the year. I need to ask my friend who majored in Forestry when he was in college. If that is true, what a great picture for us to remember in the wintery months of our lives. Those times that the poem is talking about.
om man i wish we got snow like that!! Then we wouldn't have to drive so far to go sledding or snowboarding
:)
